Roughing It In The Bush - Susanna Moodie

In 1832, Susanna Moodie immigrated to Canada from Britain with her husband and daughter, chronicling her experiences in "Roughing It in the Bush". This, the first fully annotated critical edition, provides everything that a student might need to analyse and enjoy Moodie's tale. There is a backgrounds section. Reprinted are five letters from Moodie to her husband and six contemporary reviews. Included are ten critical essays, a chronology of Moodie's life and a bibliography.
